application
Test App

I was playing with the Twitter API — it is really nice they give the public quite a bit of access to the general data feed. I put together a very simple test application — based off one I found elsewhere. Hopefully you will be able to run it on your computer. unzip the app (there is a linux version and a windows version), extract the files, and then run the file called USPoliticians.
Ok, all it does right now is graph, in real time, the number of tweets referencing Obama compared to Palin. I also included a category called “economy” just for comparison.
Anyway, if it doesn’t work on your operating system I have attached a screenshot, showing two minutes of the data feed from Twitter.
