Atheist Michael Newdow wants God left out of the swearing-in. In the past Newdow has raised a fuss about the words “under God” as used in the Pledge of Allegiance. Now he has his sights set on the phrase “so help me God” as spoken in inaugural oaths since the swearing in of FDR.

Sarah Palin’s guilt by association tactics have now come back to haunt her. The mother of Bristol Palin’s Fiance has been arrested on drug charges.
Alaska’s state troopers haven’t said what the drug is that Sherry L. Johnston was using, but a spokesperson indicated that it might be the painkiller Oxycontin.
So at least it is a proper, “conservative,” addiction — just like the one Rush Limbaugh had.
